Thank you
Welcome Y2 to Y3
Hello! I am Mrs Wilkinson and I will be your teacher in Year 3. I am really excited to meet you all in September and look forward to having a wonderful time together next year. In Year 3 we do lots of interesting things: we go back into the Stone Age time in History, we study and compare different places around the world in Geography and in P.E. we pretend to be secret agents and make up our own spy dances; you will love it! You will also start learning how to speak French, in fact, during the holidays, you could find out how to say “hello” and “thank you” in French and perhaps in other languages too.
When you come to school in September I will be ready to meet you on the playground, I will carry a big sign with my name on so it will be easy for you to find me. We will wait on the playground until everyone has arrived and then go to our classroom together.
I hope you all have a lovely, safe, summer holiday with your families. See you in September!
Mrs Wilkinson
Hello,
I am Miss Clark, and I will be your new teaching assistant in year 3.
I can remember working with you in nursery, and it is amazing to see how mature and grown up you now are!
I am looking forward to working with you and seeing how fantastic you all are.
I hope you all have the best summer holidays, and I am extremely excited to see you all in September, for the start of our new adventure!
Stay safe, lots of love,
Miss Clark
HI, I am Mrs Sibly. As you may know I enjoy singing. You might remember me from leading the singing assembly on a Thursday. I am looking forward to meeting you all in September and looking forward to being back in Year 3. Our teaching assistant will be Mrs Wood who is also looking forward to getting to know you all in September. Year 3 is one of my favourite years to teacher as we learn about Romans, different locations around the world and start speaking in French. Year 3 also has one of my favourite stories to read but I will leave that as a surprise as I don’t want to spoil it. I can’t wait till our first day back so see you in September.
Goodbye to Y3
Well, what a strange year it has been! I have really missed you. It’s been very weird in school without you all; the classroom is so quiet! It’s such a shame it all ended the way it did and very sad that we missed all the fun things that were planned for the summer term. Well done and thank you for trying so hard with your home learning it has been such a difficult time for everybody but I think you and all the grown-ups now deserve a well-earned rest.
I’m sure you know by now that Mr Birtwistle will be your teacher in Y4. I have told him all about: your wonderful writing; your marvellous maths, how you love to sing, how fantastic you are at French and P.E. and how you love to ask questions! Thank you for being such a lovely, bright, bubbly class, I thoroughly enjoyed teaching you all and am sorry we didn’t get to see the full year through! When you go into Y4, keep working hard and show your new teacher just how good you are! Have a wonderful, safe, fun-filled summer with your families. See you in September!
To Year 3,
I have really enjoyed being part of your class this year and it has been a pleasure to teach you all. Seeing you become more independent, sharing your ideas with others and learning from each other has been lovely and I am sure you will carry on doing this in your new class. I was so sad that our year was shortened and we didn’t get to do all of the fun activities we had planned and that I missed out on saying good bye to you all at the end of this year. However, I know that in September you are all going to have the best time in Year 4 and will show your new teacher all the brilliant things you can do. Keep working hard, have fun, join in with as many activities as you can and remember to always have a go even if you’re not feeling confident!
I hope you have a brilliant summer - make sure you stay safe, look after yourselves and come back to school excited to learn lots of new things!
Miss Taylor
Hello Y3!
