Girls’ Football Competition – April 2023

Well done to our Y5 girls who took part in the football competition today at Brierton Sports Centre. They played some fantastic football and demonstrated excellent resilience and team work. They played each match with great enthusiasm and had a brilliant time.

Y4 Skipping Competition – April 2023

A massive congratulations to our Y4 skipping team who performed brilliantly in the skipping competition at Brierton Sports Centre, winning the competition overall. They all demonstrated a fantastic range of skills and techniques and showcased fantastic resilience and teamwork throughout. Well done boys and girls!

Y3 Tennis Competition – March 2023

Congratulations to our Y3 children who competed in the tennis competition this week. They demonstrated a lot of our Commando Joe’s characteristics and were fantastic ambassadors for the school. They played their matches with great effort and enthusiasm, winning the competition overall. We are now looking forward to the next round.

Y5 Boys Football – March 2023

Well done to our Y5 boys football team who played in a competition today at Brierton Sports Centre. They played some fantastic football and demonstrated many of our Commmando Joe’s character values, such as teamwork and resilience. Well done again to all who played in the competition – you were a credit to the school with your attitude and behaviour.

Y1/2 Multi Skills Festival – March 2023

Well done to our amazing Y1 and 2 children who had a brilliant time at the Multi-Skills Festival on Monday. They participated in a range of mini games with great enthusiasm. They worked so hard and tried their best in every activity.

Biggest Ever Football Session – International Women’s Day March 2023

It was great to see so many girls from Key Stage Two getting involved in the Biggest Ever Football Session as part of International Women’s day. Over 30 girls from Y4, 5 and 6 joined in our football session at dinnertime, showing some great skills and playing with smiles on their faces. #LetGirlsPlay #HerGameToo

Y3 Intra-School Competition

Children in Year 3 took part in an intra-school dodgeball competition. The children had a brilliant time putting their skills into practice in a competitive environment.

Year 5/6 Basketball Event

Well done to the 8 children from Years 5 and 6 who represented the school in a basketball event yesterday. They had a brilliant time and demonstrated some fantastic skills. They really enjoyed playing mini games, especially against the adults who went with them.

Y6 Basketball Cluster Competition

Well done to the Y6 children who competed in the cluster basketball competition today. They demonstrated great skills and performed excellently as a team, winning 4 out of 5 matches. They finished second overall and are very excited to have qualified for the town final. Well done boys and girls.

Y3/4 Multi Skills Festival

10 of our Y3 and Y4 children had a brilliant time participating in a Multi Skills Festival at Brierton Sports Centre on Monday. They demonstrated excellent teamwork and enthusiasm when playing a range of different games, enjoying winning lots of points for their team.

Y5/6 Sports Hall Athletics Town Finals

Our Year 5/6 athletics team had a terrific morning at Brierton Sports Centre in the town finals today. The team finished in 4th place overall after some superb races and events. Every child gave 100% and did so with a smile on their faces. Well done!

Girls Football Competition

Well done to our Y5/Y6 football team in their competition this morning. They showed fantastic resilience, winning two and drawing one of their five games. A super achievement!

Y3/4 Multi Skills Festival

Well done to some of our Year 3, 4 and 6 children. Yesterday, they participated in a multi-skills festival, challenging themselves to take part in a range of games and activities.

Sports Hall Athletics

Our Y3/4 and Y5/6 representatives showed great effort and enthusiasm when competing in their respective Sports Hall Athletics competitions last week. The attitude and behaviour of all the children was fantastic throughout and they were all great competitors, showing brilliant skill for track and field events. Congratulations as well to the Y5/6 children who won their event overall and have qualified for the Town Finals.

Well done to our Y6 Boys' Football Team who competed in the Premier League Competition today at Brierton Sports Centre. They demonstrated a fantastic attitude and played some brilliant football, winning 2 and drawing 2 of their matches.

Sports Leader Training

Well done to our Y5 children who developed their leaderships skills in the Sports Leaders event, ready to lead playground games and activities. It was also really nice to see some of our ex-pupils helping to lead the event.

Y5 Dodgeball Competition

Children in Year 5 demonstrated some fantastic skills when taking part in their dodgeball competition on Tuesday. They played with great enthusiasm and showed excellent teamwork throughout. Well done boys and girls!

North East Cycling Academy Session

A huge thank you to North East Cycling Academy who came and worked with our Y5 and Y6 children today. The children had a great time and demonstrated some excellent cycling skills!

Boys' Tag Rugby Town Finals Competition

Well done to the Y6 boys who took part in the Tag Rugby Town Final Competition today at Hartlepool Rugby Club. They played some brilliant rugby, winning 2 and drawing 1 of their games. Well done boys!

 

Girls' Tag Rugby Town Final

Our Y5/6 girls had a great time taking part in the Tag Rugby Town Final Competition today. They played some fantastic rugby throughout the morning demonstrated a great attitude. Well done girls.

 

Girls’ Football Competition – Friday 11th March

Well done to our girls’ football team who took part in their first competition on Friday morning. They were very enthusiastic and played some fantastic football. They demonstrated a brilliant attitude throughout and were excellent representatives of the school. Well done girls!
