What's Happening in PSHEE?

 

Y5 Nurse Visit- Drugs, alcohol and tobacco

Year 5 had a visit from the school nurse to learn about drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Children learnt about substances which can harm you and others which can help. The children learnt about the dangers or misusing drugs, alcohol and tobacco, the harmful effects and what to do in different scenarios.

 

As part of interfaith week, children had to consider what faith meant to them. This was combined with anti-bullying week where children had to design an odd sock.

School Council Baubles

Our School Council children have been working hard designing and creating baubles. These have been used to decorate a Christmas tree at Holy Trinity Church which represents Fens School.

 

Holy Trinity Tree Festival 15.12.22

Our School Council children visited Holy Trinity Church to decorate a tree which represented Fens in the community. Children created their own handmade baubles and used pictures of each class in the school to decorate. Their ideas came to life and the end result was beautiful!

 

Road Safety

Year 1 Children enjoyed a visit from Mrs Bassett the lollipop lady to discuss the importance of road safety.

 

Year 3 Commando Joe's

Year Three have completed all 8 missions if their 72 days unit. Children showed fantastic teamwork. resilience and positivity when completing all missions.

 

 

Y3 Pedestrian Training

Year Three children took part in Pedestrian Training within the community. They learnt about the importance of road safety and using the Highway Code.

 

 

Y4 and Y6 School Council Speeches

Year Four and Year Six showed their understanding of Democracy when voting for their School Council Representatives. Children who were running, each wrote a speech to deliver to the class. Children then had an anonymous vote to elect their winner.

 

 

Year 6 Commando Joe's

Year 6 have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a range of Commando Joe's Missions. The children have all shown great resilience, excellence, communication and teamwork. Well done Year 6.

 

 

Y4 Poppies

Year Four children showed respect when learning about Armistice Day and thoroughly enjoyed making a moveable poppy to display.
