What do we read?

Partnership with parents is key to our success and we work hard to ensure that this partnership is as effective as possible. Reading at home both with and to your child is perhaps the best way you can support their early education. Recent research by the National Literacy Trust reveals that children who read outside of school daily are 13 times more likely to read above the expected level for their age. We use the 'Letters and Sounds', and a range of 'Oxford Reading Tree' scheme materials to teach early reading and children then progress on to the 'Bug Club' scheme and a large choice of banded books to promote reading for enjoyment.
